Indoor air quality

Clean air at the level filters can't reach

A good filter catches dust and dander. But some of what floats through your air — bacteria, mold spores, the smallest allergens — slips right through the mesh. A UV air sanitizer, installed inside your HVAC system, neutralizes those pollutants with ultraviolet light as the air passes by.

How it works

Why UV, and who it's for

Works where filters stop

As air circulates through your system, UV light breaks down pollutants too small for ordinary filtration — including most airborne bacteria and mold spores.

Set it and forget it

Installed inside your ductwork, the sanitizer treats every pass of air automatically. No units on countertops, no daily fiddling.

A fit for sensitive households

Homes with allergies, asthma, respiratory issues, or young children see the most benefit — the air simply carries less of what irritates.

Placement matters

A UV sanitizer only works where the light reaches. We test your home first and install the unit where it does the most good — professional installation isn't optional here, it's the difference.

Start with the free air test

Before recommending any equipment, we test your home's air as part of our free indoor air quality assessment. If UV is the right tool for what's actually in your air, we'll say so and quote it flat-rate; if a purifier, better filtration, or humidity control fits better, we'll say that instead. Whatever we install is covered by our Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty, and BFF members save 10–20% on the work.

Good to know

UV sanitizer questions, answered plainly

Do UV air sanitizers actually work?

Yes — UV light is a well-established way to neutralize airborne bacteria and mold spores, and it's been used in hospitals for decades. The catch is placement and sizing, which is why professional installation matters.

Does it replace my air filter?

No — they're teammates. The filter catches particles; the UV light handles the biological stuff that slips through. Together they cover far more than either alone.

Is there any maintenance?

Very little — the UV lamp needs periodic replacement to stay effective. We check it as part of the annual inspection BFF members already get.
